Job summary

Avflight Akron-Canton is seeking a Line Services Technician to fuel aircraft, service hangar operations, de-ice and perform ground handling tasks. This part-time position requires outdoor work in all weather conditions and adherence to FAA safety guidelines.

You will assist with fueling, aircraft cleaning, de-icing, luggage handling and customer service, with shifts including swing/graveyard and weekends as needed. Strong safety focus and reliable teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2 years related experience, Aviation/Airline experience a plus.
• Must pass background check, pre-employment drug test, have valid Driver's license with a good driving record within company standards.
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills with the ability to easily grasp the functionality and concepts of company software for paperwork and computer transactions.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to work at heights up to forty (40) feet.
• Ability to write clearly and legibly.
• Ability to push/pull/lift 70 lbs. for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
• Must be available and willing to work varied hours including swing and graveyard shifts plus weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Directs the movement of aircraft and traffic on the ramp and in hangars; secure parked aircraft and perform cleaning and service tasks.
• Fuel aircraft, operate fuel trucks, and service ground support vehicles with fuel, oil and supplies.
• Perform aircraft de-icing and related safety procedures.
• Inspect aircraft for ice/frost and apply Deice Fluids.
• Drive and operate de-icing equipment safely around aircraft.
• Maintain deicing fluid accounting and daily safety inspections of fuel trucks.
• Perform grounds keeping and janitorial duties; assist with snow removal.
• Assist aircraft crews and passengers with services as needed.
• Conduct daily fuel farm inspections and quality checks.
