Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. seeks a part-time seasonal Deicer Lead to ensure safe aircraft de-icing and fueling operations. You will report to the Supervisor, perform daily quality checks, maintain equipment, and apply de-icing fluids while coordinating with dispatch.

The role requires operating large vehicles around aircraft, accurate fuel and chemical transaction recording, and strict adherence to safety standards. Flexible shifts including nights and weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in United States.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligible for required credentials (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs as applicable).
• Flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Check aircraft for leading-edge ice and frost.
• Report daily status to Supervisor/Manager.
• Check equipment for unsafe conditions and take corrective actions.
• Conduct weekly safety debriefings as necessary.
• Perform fueling safely and efficiently; track transactions.
• Apply Type I and Type IV de-icing fluids to aircraft surfaces.
• Drive large vehicles during de-icing operations and maintain clean equipment.
• Record de-icing fluid transactions for accounting.
