Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, AL seeks an Aircraft Certifying Manager (2nd Shift) to lead conformity activities, ensure the As-Built status aligns with the Target Configuration, and issue conformity certificates.

You will work closely with FAA and Transport Canada compliance teams to support the A220 and A320 programs. Ideal candidates have extensive aeronautical experience, TC/FAA certification expertise, and strong documentation skills to manage complex regulatory requirements in a

Qualifications

• Professional education in aeronautical maintenance or engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 10 years in an aeronautical field (production, maintenance, engineering), with 3 years in Transport Canada airworthiness certification and FAA regulatory requirements.
• Hold an AME M2 or FAA A&P license.
• Experience with Transport Canada and FAA certification processes.
• Familiarity with Company configuration management rules and aviation regulation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure conformity documentation is up to date and in line with the target definition.
• Establish, analyze and validate ABCL under responsibility of FAL, Plant, or Supplier.
• Issue the Aircraft Statement of Conformity and/or Transport Canada Export Airworthiness Certificate.
• Transmit files pertaining to Aircraft Certification activities to Transport Canada and FAA DAR as needed.
• Collaborate with Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, IT to resolve conformity discrepancies.
• Attend status meetings and represent the Conformity Department.
