Job summary

V2X is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic, ALSS (AME) to perform on- and off-aircraft maintenance on egress and environmental systems, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, servicing, launch and recovery, corrosion control, and inspections. The role involves operating ground support equipment, assisting with aircraft movement, and supporting FOD prevention on the flight line.

The position requires travel to off-site detachments (≥10%), and candidates must obtain DoD CAC within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent ejection seat maintenance experience.
• 3 years' experience in system component repair.
• Graduate of a military or factory-equivalent ejection seat course.
• Familiar with Navy technical publications and safety procedures.
• Ability to train personnel and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aircraft per procedures and safety rules.
• Perform on- and off-aircraft egress system maintenance for T-45.
• Inspect and replace ejection seats, canopies, and related hardware.
• Handle CADs/PADs explosive items and environmental systems.
• Operate GSE and tow equipment; support flight line operations.
• Document actions in maintenance systems and order parts.
• Travel to off-site detachments up to 10%.
