Job summary

Jobtailor in McKinney/Plano, Texas, seeks an Electrical Engineering intern to support the Airborne RF Electronics Department. You will work within an IPT-guided team on a production program, troubleshoot hardware and test sets, analyze data with MATLAB, and generate technical documents.

A DoD-style security clearance is a long-term possibility for eligible candidates. Required are an active STEM degree pursuit with 60+ credit hours and strong communication, plus knowledge of LabVIEW, C, MATLAB,

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM major and actively enrolled through internship/co-op.
Minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session.
Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations.
Experience with Manufacturing Engineering.
Knowledge of LabVIEW, LUA, C, MATLAB, Python programming languages.

Responsibilities

Support the product line within the Airborne RF Electronics Department.
Work as a team member on a production program under IPT Lead guidance in McKinney and/or Plano.
Troubleshoot hardware and processes to CCA/Module and component levels (analog, digital, power).
Troubleshoot test sets to component level (analog, digital, RF/microwave).
Analyze product test data using MATLAB to verify specs.
Generate and update documents, drawings, designs, and specifications.
Conduct failure investigations and address systemic issues to prevent recurrence.

Job description

Support the product line within the Airborne RF Electronics Department
Work as a member of a team supporting a production program under the guidance of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead in McKinney and/or Plano, Texas
Troubleshoot hardware and process issues down to circuit card assembly (CCA)/Module and component levels, including analog, digital, power circuitry and interfaces
Troubleshoot test sets down to component level, including analog, digital, radio and microwave frequency circuitry and interfaces
Analyze product test data using MATLAB software tools to verify test specifications are met
Generate and update documents, drawings, designs, and specifications
Conduct failure investigations and provide recommendations to address systemic issues and prevent recurrence

Requirements

Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session
Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship/co-op session
Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations
Experience with Manufacturing Engineering
Knowledge of LabVIEW, LUA, C, MATLAB, Python programming languages
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Active and existing DoD Top Secret security clearance required after day 1
