Qualifications

• Advanced degree: Ph.D. preferred or M.S. with relevant experience in chemistry/physics/spectroscopy.
• Experience in infrared/FTIR spectroscopy and spectral data analysis.
• Ability to identify chemical compounds from infrared spectra.

Responsibilities

• Operate and calibrate infrared spectrometer systems.
• Analyze spectral data from airborne FTIR and hyperspectral imagers to identify chemicals.
• Develop and maintain spectral reference libraries and detection sets.
• Provide real-time in-flight and reach-back analytical support; QA data per timelines.
• Perform instrument verification, calibration checks, and quality control per QAPP.
• Document detections and prepare technical summaries for stakeholders.
