Job summary

Air Mobility Command is seeking an experienced Air Traffic Controller to manage aircraft movements within tower facilities. The role requires rapid, decisive judgment and the ability to coordinate closely with pilots and controllers to ensure safety and efficiency.

The incumbent will work in demanding, mission-critical environments where uninterrupted operations are essential, and must meet federal qualification standards and medical/drug testing requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of air traffic laws and regulations governing movement of air traffic.
• Knowledge of Terminal ATC procedures and tower operations.
• Ability to make rapid and precise judgments under stress and coordinate plans with pilots and other controllers.

Responsibilities

• Issue control instructions and guidance to pilots to ensure proper separation and safe movement near airports.
• Coordinate plans and actions with pilots and other controllers.
• Maintain alertness and decisiveness in real-time, high-pressure environments.
