Job summary

CI² Aviation is seeking an Air Traffic Controller to manage the safe and expeditious flow of air traffic at a VFR airport tower. The role requires independent work under supervision and strict adherence to established procedures.

You must have 2+ years of ATC experience, a CTO certificate with a facility rating, and a Class II Medical Certificate. DOT/FAA testing is required as part of employment, with duties including coordinating with approach control to maintain safe operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Air Traffic Controller.
• Current CTO Certificate and a current Class II Medical Certificate.
• CTO with facility rating for at least two years in an ATC Tower.
• Subject to DOT/FAA testing (pre-employment, random, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Determine the order of departures to ensure equitable treatment and proper IFR separation.
• Manage takeoff times and post-departure maneuvers.
• Decide on landings, circling, and runway usage to maintain safe traffic flow.
• Coordinate arrivals and departures with approach control to maintain separation.
• Monitor communications frequencies and navigational aids and instruct pilots as needed.
