Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT is offering a summer 2027 internship in the Commercial Engines Air Systems Design & Integration (ASDI) organization. You will work on air system architectures, cooling and sealing flows, and multidisciplinary problem solving within a world‑class propulsion context.

The internship provides hands‑on experience with internal air system flow analysis, engine testing support, and data‑driven design decisions, developing a broad systems engineering perspective

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Engineering or related STEM field and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session.
• Must have a minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
• Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Responsabilités

• Perform detailed internal air system flow analyses to evaluate performance, cooling, and sealing effectiveness for commercial engine programs.
• Support cutting‑edge development engine testing, transforming raw data into actionable engineering sights to shape critical design decisions.
• Execute probabilistic studies to quantify complex system behavior and assess overall design robustness.
• Investigate flow system options through trade studies that directly impact design choices and engine capabilities.
