Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Principal for its Baton Rouge, LA area to lead the Air Quality team and drive business development. The role focuses on providing technical and business leadership across sectors and mentoring staff, with a strong emphasis on regulatory interpretation and client relations.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of air science consulting experience, a relevant engineering or environmental sciences degree, and a proven track record in expanding business and managing complex projects.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of related air science experience, largely in a consulting environment.
• Degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences.
• Ability to interpret environmental regulations and apply them to real-world situations.
• Strong business development and client-relations capabilities.
• Experience mentoring staff and leading multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue business development opportunities.
• Manage projects, clients, and regulatory agency relations.
• Oversee preparation of air permit applications.
• Mentor Associates and Managers; lead cross-functional teams.
• Represent Ramboll in hearings and trade group meetings.
• Conduct site visits.
