Job summary

Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) is hiring an Air Quality Data Analyst- Analyst 3 for the State Office in Boise. The role focuses on QA/QC of the Air Quality Division's data and ensures data integrity across multiple systems.

You will manage AQSS data in AIMS, ICIS-Air, and other tools, provide training and support, and collaborate with EPA and ITS to improve processes and data management. This position emphasizes reporting, analytics, and program guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant science or related field.
• Experience with data management, analysis, and reporting for environmental programs is preferred.
• Ability to interpret policy and provide technical or regulatory guidance.

Responsibilities

• QA/QC SME for AQSS data ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity.
• Manage AQSS data across AIMS, ICIS-Air, and internal systems; provide training and data support.
• Coordinate with EPA and ITS to identify data needs and support system improvements.
• Develop and maintain program data, reports, and performance measures for audits and rule-making.

Education

Bachelor's degree in physical or biological sciences, political science, business or public administration, engineering, or related natural resources management
