Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an APC technician to maintain the air pollution control train, monitor equipment, and troubleshoot systems to prevent improper scrubbing of gases while ensuring safe operation at a North American site.

Responsibilities include staging residual waste, ash clearing, housekeeping, reporting spills, and operating rolling stock while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.
• Must pass a verbal/written skill/proficiency test during orientation.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good math aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Stage residual boxes for 3rd party pickup and track paperwork.
• Perform daily ash clearing of the kiln disengaging chamber.
• Maintain high housekeeping and ownership of the APC train.
• Report spills or emergencies to supervision and assist with remediation.
• Operate rolling stock such as forklifts, loaders, tankers and yard equipment.
