Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an APC operator to maintain and troubleshoot the air pollution control train. You will monitor equipment, manage residual waste, and assist with emergency response.

The role requires basic hazardous waste experience and a willingness to complete required training. Responsibilities include daily ash clearing, equipment operation, and strict safety compliance, with opportunities to contribute to site housekeeping and incident remediation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 years experience in hazardous waste.
• Must be qualified in current position (6) months or more.
• Previously held position requiring hazardous waste operator training.
• Must pass respirator fit test.
• Must pass verbal/written skill/proficiency test.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good math aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Stage roll-off boxes for residual collections and manage paperwork.
• Perform daily ash clearing of the kiln disengaging chamber.
• Maintain high level of housekeeping and ownership of the APC train.
• Report spills or emergencies to supervision and assist with remediation.
• Operate rolling stock including forklifts, manlifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment.
