Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience handling imports (air and/or ocean) or combination of education and expertise.
• Familiarity with US customs regulations and import compliance.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and back-office processes.
• Comfort with multi-tasking and meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and process import documents (classification, invoices, etc.).
• Receive and track bookings/shipments; update clients on status and delays.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Bill and invoice files, monitor payment terms and balance payables.
• Reconcile incorrect payables with vendors and overseas offices.
• Assist sales and management with quotes and costing forecasts.
• Provide accurate job costing and maintain AP/AR accruals.
• Deliver responsive customer service and communicate with truckers.
