Intermountain Health is seeking a Pilot in Command for fixed‑wing medical transport. You will lead flights under FAA regs, assess weather and risk, and coordinate with pilots, medical crews, patients, and families to ensure safe missions.

Applicants should have 2,500+ total flight hours, CPL with Instrument rating, ATP CTP, and experience in multi‑engine aircraft. Internal candidates require 2,000+ hours and two years as an Intermountain Health pilot, plus night/instrument hour requirements.

Qualifications

• Total time: minimum 2,500 hours in airplanes.
• External candidates—Single‑Engine: Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument rating and ATP CTP within 1 year.
• External candidates—Multi‑Engine: ATP (Multi‑Engine) required with high hour thresholds.
• Internal candidates: 2,000+ hours and two years as Intermountain Health pilot; ATP CTP required.
• Licenses: CPL; ATP (Unrestricted or Restricted as applicable).
• Excellent verbal communication and hearing are required.

Responsabilités

• Serve as Pilot in Command for fixed‑wing medical transport flights.
• Preflight planning, weather and risk assessment in all flight phases.
• Communicate clearly with pilots, medical crew, patients and families.
• Evaluate transport requests against service criteria for safety and appropriateness.
• Ensure aircraft readiness, cleanliness and function; manage consumables.
• Support patient care operations during loading/unloading.
• Engage in training, currency, and crew education in spare time.
• Participate in flight reviews, training and quality improvement; document accurately.
