Job summary

PHI Health is seeking an Operations Control Specialist to monitor and assist air medical pilots, applying EMS flight knowledge and weather judgment to support safe flight decisions. You will interact with pilots, dispatch, and supervisory staff, ensuring adherence to FAA regs and PHI safety culture.

Ideal candidates have extensive EMS flight experience, commercial helicopter ratings, and strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of EMS flight experience (pilot).
• 200 hours of night EMS and 100 instrument hours required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Communications Center, Aviation Managers, and Base Pilots to manage risk and weather conditions.
• Communicate weather updates and flight decisions to pilots and dispatch personnel.
• Monitor aircraft tracking systems and coordinate with supervisors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and PHI policies.
