Job summary

Air Methods seeks exceptional Helicopter Pilots to join the Air Methods Pool Program, delivering safe air medical transport around the clock. Starting pay ranges from $82,900 to $102,576 with ACCRA and includes a sign-on bonus of $40,000 and an up-to $12,000 experience stipend.

Off-duty housing is available and a strong benefits package accompanies the role. The successful candidate will ensure airworthiness, comply with FAR/AIM/GOM, and maintain responsibilities across pre-flight, flight

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Instrument rating (ATP in category meets requirement)
• Fixed wing multiengine rating required for twin-engine aircraft
• Commercial single-engine land required for single-engine aircraft
• First OR Second Class FAA Medical certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
• Completes pre-flight before every flight verifying airworthiness by sign-off of Daily Flight Log.
• Final authority with regard to operations and safety of passengers, cargo and equipment.
• Ensure medical interior and systems are understood by medical flight team.
• Complete required documentation.
• Conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.
• Participate in meetings and community outreach.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
