Job summary

Air Methods in Carlsbad, NM is seeking опытed pilots for the Air Ambulance PC12 program. The role offers a 7 days on/7 days off 12-hour shift pattern with a base stipend and off-duty housing, plus a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include safe flight operations, pre-flight checks, and comprehensive flight planning within a high-performing team. Minimum qualifications include 2500 hours total flight time with 2000 in category, 1000 PIC in category, turbine hours, and instrument conditions

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and two to five years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Instrument rating required; ATP rating preferred
• Weight and age restrictions up to 70 years and 250 lbs maximum

Responsibilities

• Operates Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner
• Completes pre-flight checks and daily flight log sign-off
• Maintains authority and safety for passengers, crew, and equipment
• Familiar with medical interior and systems of backup aircraft
• Completes required documentation
• Performs detailed flight planning with short notice
• Participates in meetings and community outreach
• Performs other duties as assigned
