Job summary

REMSA Health in Reno, NV is seeking a Care Flight Dispatcher (Air Medical Communications Specialist) to coordinate air medical resources, receive calls, prioritize requests, dispatch aviation assets, and maintain flight records.

This role requires open availability for days, nights, weekends and holidays, excellent communications, ability to multi-task in a computerized environment, and teamwork. EMT certification is desirable; prior air medical dispatch experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills required.
• 2+ years of prior customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task in a highly computerized environment required.
• Ability to follow detailed and structured process, while providing a high level of customer service required.
• Ability to type 30 WPM required.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Prior or current EMT certification desirable, but not required.
• Prior air medical dispatch experience a plus.
• Ability to work as a team.

The Care Flight Dispatcher (Air Medical Communications Specialist) position is responsible for the coordination of all air medical resources that REMSA Health operates or contracts with. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving calls from requestors, prioritizing simultaneous requests, dispatching of the appropriate aviation asset, maintaining contact with requestors, and maintaining appropriate records for every flight request.

36 x 48 schedule - (3 12-hour shifts one week, 4 12-hour shifts the next).
