Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel is hiring an Air Export Gateway Agent in Texas to manage timely and cost-effective air export shipments. You will handle MAWB consolidations, coordinate with regional air export teams, and ensure compliance with healthcare guidelines and regulations.

The role focuses on customer service, documentation handling, carrier bookings, and KPI attainment within the Global Quality HealthChain framework.

Qualifications

The Air Export Gateway Agent is responsible for timely, cost‑effective movement of air export freight managed by the Air Export Gateway department as directed by the Supervisor and/or Manager. The position is responsible for processing MAWB consolidations, set trade‑lanes encompassing all aspects of the ATA process. Operational experience in the airfreight industry including but not limited to prior experience with Air Import Operations, warehousing/ airline/ GHA/ freight forwarder Air Export Gateway operations.

• Provide excellent customer service and on‑going commitment to quality and data integrity
• Prepare, handle and process documentation needed for air export consolidations
• Interact and collaborate closely with the air export departments in the region
• Arrange bookings with carriers; optimise cargo consolidations
• Ensure timely processing and delivery to the airport; constant communication with the warehouse team and truck dispatch during the consolidation process
• Track & trace shipments; monitor vendor performance; address and resolve service irregularities
• Contribute to maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal customers
• Maintain compliance standards at all times, including internal policies and procedures, external government regulations and customer requirements + daily updating and monitoring of reporting tools
• Adherence to Internal healthcare guidelines, procedures and minimum requirements as defined in Global Quality HealthChain Guideline.
• Ensure training compliance as per defined training matrix
• Maintain basic GXP awareness (requirements and applicable guidelines, e.g., WHO, GSDP, ets.)
• Coordinating and supporting quality matters related to KN's Products SecureChain and Semicon
• Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) to support department, branch, product and company goals
• Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency
• Support pricing team on rate quotes as well as perform other duties as assigned

What we would like you to bring
