Job summary

Responsibilities include processing import/export transactions, preparing documents, arranging carrier services, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience with extensive client contact.
• Familiarity with domestic and international geography, including major cities.
• Extreme attention to detail and proactive issue avoidance.
• Ability to stay productive under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote excellent customer service and coordinate with other departments and third parties while monitoring service quality.
• Receive, review, and process high-volume import/export transactions, including booking, billing, classifications, and data processing.
• Check warehouse shipments against documents and provide clear handling instructions for each shipment.
• Process bills of lading and communicate handling steps to the team.
• Ensure hazardous materials shipments comply with CFR and applicable regs.
• Create quotations, estimate costs, select carriers, and set margins.
• Review Shipper Export Declaration rejections and government information requests.
• Adhere to domestic/international shipping regulations and communicate changes to clients and team.
• Identify special handling needs and recommend process improvements.
• Monitor client concerns and alert on potential shipping issues.
