Job summary

Dimerco Express Group is seeking an Associate for Air Import Operations at our New York area office in Rosedale, NY. The role focuses on preparing import documents, coordinating trucking, invoicing, and ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality service.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in air import operations within freight forwarding or logistics, strong attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, carriers and overseas offices for smooth execution.
• Provide timely updates to customers and management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Air Import Operations within the freight-forwarding or logistics industry.
• Proficient in handling operational tasks accurately while maintaining a high level of service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to effectively manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong customer service orientation with exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful, and a willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process all required import documentation, including shipping documents, arrival notices (ATME), and customs-related paperwork.
• Coordinate trucking and final delivery arrangements, issue invoices, prepare shipment-related documents, and maintain accurate records and filing systems.
• Handle shipment billing and ensure complete and accurate shipment file management.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation and security regulations, including customer requirements for handling their shipments.
• Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and overseas offices to ensure smooth shipment execution.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and provide timely updates to customers and management as required.
