Qualifications

• 3+ years of international air freight operations experience with a freight forwarder.
• Experience handling both air import and air export shipments is preferred.
• Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and air freight procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook/Excel) and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate international air import and export shipments from booking through final delivery.
• Prepare and review all shipping documentation including air waybills, invoices, packing lists, and customs docs.
• Arrange bookings with airlines and coordinate with trucking, warehouses, and overseas offices to ensure timely movement of freight.
• Track shipments and provide customers with accurate status updates throughout the process.
• Resolve operational issues quickly while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure shipments comply with TSA, IATA, FAA, and international trade regulations.
• Enter shipment data and maintain records in the operating system.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service to support requirements and identify opportunities to enhance service.
• Review billing and shipment costs for accuracy.
• Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and overseas partners.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented logistics professional with a strong background in international air freight operations and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

The Air Freight Specialist will be responsible for coordinating international air import and export shipments from origin through final delivery, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, carrier regulations, and company standards. Working closely with customers, airlines, overseas offices, and domestic partners, this individual will play a key role in delivering efficient and reliable transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate international air import and export shipments from booking through final delivery.
• Prepare and review all shipping documentation, including air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation.
• Arrange bookings with airlines and coordinate with trucking companies, warehouses, and overseas offices to ensure timely movement of freight.
• Track shipments proactively and provide customers with accurate status updates throughout the shipping process.
• Resolve operational issues quickly while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all shipments comply with TSA, IATA, FAA, and international trade regulations.
• Accurately enter shipment data and maintain complete records within the company's operating system.
• Work closely with sales and customer service teams to support customer requirements and identify opportunities to enhance service.
• Review billing, vendor invoices, and shipment costs to ensure accuracy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and overseas partners.

Qualifications

• Experience using CargoWise or a similar freight forwarding system is highly preferred.
