Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions is seeking an Air Force Program Manager to lead mission-critical programs and drive follow-on business development across PacStar efforts. The role combines project leadership with proposal support in a hybrid/remote U.S. environment.

The ideal candidate has a four-year degree and at least four years in program or project management, with strong communication, leadership, and budgeting skills. A PMP is a plus, and security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from a four-year university.
• At least 4 years of project management or program related experience.
• PMP certification is an asset.
• Experience with defense industry programs is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources.

Responsibilities

• Define, launch, and drive mission-critical strategic and operational initiatives in Air Force/Space Force program(s).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define program schedules, develop work plans, assign responsibilities, and provide regular status updates.
• Lead the development and prioritization of business requirements.
• Resolve a wide range of issues in imaginative and practical ways.
• Create a method of change management, including ownership of a documentation library and communication plans.
• Responsible for complex program management tasks.
• Develop standards and processes for scheduling, administration, and accounting.
• Define, acquire, and allocate budget and other resources to accomplish program goals.
• Plan, direct, coordinate, administer, and execute routine and complex projects and programs.
• Create technical and management reports and submit them to customers.
• Periodically travel to customer and supplier sites to support project execution and business development.
• Other duties as assigned.
