Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding, a Deutsche Post DHL Group company, is seeking an Air Export Supervisor in Atlanta to lead the Air Freight Export team, oversee operations and customer service, and drive performance and profitability. The role requires overseeing month-end reporting, ensuring regulatory compliance and safety, and collaborating with internal teams for seamless service.

The candidate should have 2+ years supervisory experience in logistics, strong communication, and proficiency with MS

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred or minimum of 2 years supervisory experience within the logistics / transportation industry
• Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentations)
• Comprehensive knowledge of Air Freight Export processes
• Strong computer skills: Microsoft (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Demonstrated leadership ability to include driving KPIs, employee engagement / team building. Strong ability to develop, coach, train, and mentor staff to success
• Previous supervisory experience in a Unionized environment is preferred
• Basic knowledge of Cargo Wise system is preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct and control end-to-end Air Freight Export processes
• Serve as escalation contact for customer shipments; manage financials and KPIs
• Ensure safety, security, and regulatory compliance in operations
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve service and grow business
• Review month-end reports and financial statements; address carrier issues
• Hire, coach, train, and develop staff; manage performance in line with policies
