Job summary

Top Us in Nassau County, NY is seeking an Air Export Operation Specialist to manage daily air export operations, coordinate shipments, and ensure compliant documentation. You will work with airlines, freight forwarders, customers and internal teams, optimize rates, monitor regulations, and support process improvements.

This is an in-person role with standard hours. Candidates with experience in CargoWise One and knowledge of export controls will fit well; leadership experience is a plus but not

Qualifications

• Experience in freight forwarding or international logistics operations.
• Hands-on experience with Air Export operations.
• Knowledge of export documentation, shipment procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding systems; CargoWise One experience is a plus.
• Ocean Export experience is an advantage.
• Japanese skill is a big plus.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is a plus, but not required for all candidates.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily air export operations, including shipment coordination, documentation, booking, and cargo movement.
• Prepare and review export documentation and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and country-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, overseas agents, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient shipments.
• Communicate with customers regarding shipment status, requirements, and operational issues.
• Work with carriers to obtain competitive rates and maintain service quality.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of shipping documents, billing, and related operational records.
• Monitor changing export procedures and regulations.
• Support workflow management, process improvements, and team coordination as appropriate to experience level.
