Job summary

The Boeing Company in Berkeley, Missouri is seeking an Experimental Test Pilot to take on the Air Dominance Chief Pilot (Senior Manager) role and lead advanced flight test programs with a team of test pilots and mid-level managers.

You will drive design efforts, manage department resources, and supervise cross-functional efforts with customers and partners, while ensuring safe, compliant test operations. Travel up to 25% and relocation considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 10+ years of experience supporting a military flight test program.
• 10+ years of experience in military tactical aviation.
• Commercial Certificate or FAA ATP with appropriate endorsements.
• Current FAA Class II medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
• 1,500 flight hours as PIC of turbine powered jet aircraft.
• Ability to pass U.S. Navy/USAF water survival training.
• Test Pilot School (TPS) Graduate.
• 5th Generation Fighter aircraft or 6th Generation Fighter development experience.

Responsibilities

• Operates aircraft and manages test pilots and first-level managers performing aircrew duties and safe test flight operations.
• Plans, conducts and evaluates ground and test flights.
• Leads aircrew activities to support design efforts.
• Develops and executes departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on strategies and goals.
• Acquires resources for department activities and leads process improvements.
• Maintains relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Trains and evaluates test pilots and first-level managers.
