Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking a Service Technician to repair and maintain air compressors, pumps and gearboxes across our DIRECTAIR sites in Michigan. You’ll monitor performance remotely, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance while keeping a well-stocked vehicle and accurate service reports.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and strong communication. A valid license, safety training, and a willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical aptitude; multi-craft experience a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver's license with ability to pass background check.
• Physical ability for extended periods and field work.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment at DIRECTAIR sites.
• Monitor sites remotely and respond proactively to any issues.
• Diagnose issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Identify site repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Complete accurate service reports and communicate site needs.
• Keep your service vehicle stocked with tools and order parts needed at sites.
• Respond to urgent calls and minimize downtime.
• Represent OTC professionally and build strong customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and stay current through ongoing training.
• Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision to keep operations moving.
• Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
