Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies, serving the Toledo region, is seeking a Service Technician to service and repair air compressors and rotating equipment across multiple sites. You will remotely monitor sites, diagnose issues, and perform preventive maintenance to maximize reliability and efficiency.

The role emphasizes safety, ongoing training, and customer-focused service. A valid driver's license, ability to pass a background check, and a proactive, learn‑minded attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience servicing rotary screw, oil-free and/or oil-flooded air compressors is preferred.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and organized work habits.
• Valid driver's license; ability to pass drug test and background check.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods.
• Coachable and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Service, troubleshoot, and repair air compressors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment at multiple sites.
• Monitor sites remotely and respond proactively to issues.
• Diagnose issues and recommend solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Identify site repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Complete accurate service reports and communicate site needs.
• Keep service vehicle stocked with tools and order parts needed at sites.
• Respond to urgent calls and minimize downtime.
• Represent OTC professionally and build customer relationships.
• Follow safety protocols and stay current through training.
• Handle emergency service calls with speed and precision.
• Be flexible and ready to take on additional responsibilities.
