Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services in Chicago is seeking an Air Cargo Warehouse Agent at ORD to support cargo handling, loading/unloading, and outbound/inbound operations. You’ll work with pallets, semitrucks, and basic equipment while following safety and security procedures.

This role requires 18+ years, a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends. The position is covered by the TWU collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for moving air cargo within designated warehouse.
• Load and unload cargo from pallets and containers.
• Build up cargo for outbound flights.
• Break down cargo from import flights.
• Facilitate the loading and unloading of cargo to and from semitrucks.
• May operate basic cargo handling equipment such as forklift, aircraft pallets and pallet jacks.
• Check freight for proper piece count, weight, dimensions and documents as appropriate when accepting or delivering cargo.
• Confirm Dangerous Goods (DG) have been checked within aircraft limits and Follow specific procedure for DGshipments when received, including when shipment is abandoned by consignee.
• Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids.
