Job summary

Precise Systems, Inc. seeks a Test Technician to support Sonobuoy test activities for the Airborne ASW Systems Engineering Division. You will perform laboratory and open-ocean testing, preconditioning units, and measuring life, RF, and acoustic performance against specifications.

The role requires coordinating with EDT/IPT leaders, maintaining OIS certification, and liaising with Navy officials and manufacturers. Travel—roughly 5 travel days every other month—and U.S.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's degree or 4 years related work experience.
• Five years of professional work experience with OIS and ordnance management recommended.
• Must be able to travel to Navy/contractor sites; security clearance required.
• U.S. Citizenship required; work may be performed on Navy platforms and in office environments.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, interprets, evaluates, and advises EDT/IPT leaders on operational system requirements.
• Conducts analyses of logistic requirements for Air ASW systems and platforms.
• Leads special studies to ensure logistics requirements are considered for next-generation Air ASW systems.
• Supports maintenance, inventory, and availability planning for Air ASW systems.
• Maintains liaison with Navy officials, squadrons, and suppliers for program execution.
• Coordinates, compiles, and provides technical information for Sonobuoy manuals, DEMIL, and EOD plans.
