Job summary

Precise Systems seeks a Test Technician to support Sonobuoy test activities in the Airborne ASW Systems Engineering Division. Role involves in-person testing, evaluating RF/VHF performance, and documenting results to ensure compliance with performance specs.

Travel up to 15 days per month is expected. Candidates should have an electronics degree (AS or BS) and 2+ years of relevant test experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or BS in electronics engineering technology or electrical engineering.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience with test equipment.
• Experience designing test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to work independently or in a team.
• Familiarity with ASW sensors and VHF/UHF systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate sonobuoy test and evaluation equipment to measure performance.
• Operate RF spectrum analyzers to measure VHF performance.
• Record demonstrated parameters from spectrum analyzers and strip charts.
• Evaluate test results and provide feedback to Test Director.
• Identify process improvements and implement new procedures.
• Deliver strong written and verbal communication in a collaborative team.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise.
