Job summary

Beverly Public Schools is seeking an instructional aide to support students with intensive needs in the AIM program. Under the supervision of a certified teacher, you will help prepare instructional events and reinforce skills across the curriculum.

You will work with individuals and small groups, assist with self-help and independence skills, and support teachers with non-instructional duties and classroom organization as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of a certified teacher, prepare for classroom instructional events and other educational or non-educational activities.
• Assist teachers with implementing strategies and interventions to reinforce material based on individual student needs.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce material and support self-help and independence skills.
• Assist in non-instructional duties: attendance, supervision, and classroom organization.
• Set up and operate instructional technology equipment under the direction of the teacher.
• Participate in professional development activities appropriate to district expectations.
