Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Systems Test Engineering Co-op to join the Danvers, MA engineering team. You will support the Automated Impella Controller (AIC) Sustaining Team and help improve reliability and ease of use for customers worldwide.

You will work cross-functionally to develop test plans, investigate issues, and document findings, while supporting CAPAs and regulatory considerations. This role provides hands-on exposure to software, optical, and hardware interfaces in a medical

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering.
• SolidWorks knowledge preferred.
• Strong design, testing, and analytical skills required.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute system-level integration and regression test plans that verify software, optical, and hardware interfaces for the AIC platform.
• Investigate field-reported issues in the lab and develop reproducible test cases.
• Support root-cause analysis for escalations and high-priority CAPAs.
• Support change control and release activities: verify, update BOMs, and drawings.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Software, and Manufacturing to align verification strategies.
• Assist in risk assessments and CAPA investigations, design changes, and regulatory submissions.
