Job summary

Google DeepMind is seeking a visionary Design Leader for the Gemini App to define user experience strategy and drive design excellence across product, engineering and research teams. The Distinguished Designer will bridge ML with pixel-perfect mobile implementation and mentor engineers at the UI/AI intersection.

You will architect AI-enabled UI across iOS and Android, optimize latency, and establish UX best practices for emerging technologies in a global product.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in User Experience / Design with a track record of leading flagship consumer apps.
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience across multiple teams.
• Strong grasp of mobile design, accessibility, and fast, responsive interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Architect AI-enabled UI bridging mobile platforms and ML outputs with minimal latency.
• Drive design excellence and UX strategy across Gemini, collaborating with PM, Eng, and Research.
• Mentor senior contributors and engineers at the intersection of UI and AI inference.
• Define UX best practices for emerging technologies and ambiguous problem spaces.
