Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Visual Designer to join the Gemini in Chrome initiative and shape AI-powered browser experiences. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary UX team to craft adaptive interfaces, leveraging user-centered methods from concept to execution.

With 6+ years of visual design experience and a strong portfolio, you will define the visual language, push design boundaries, and work with engineers to deliver polished products across desktop and mobile.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of visual design experience in product design or UX/UI design.

Responsibilities

Drive the execution of novel AI paradigms. Design beyond static screens, creating adaptive interfaces that accommodate non-deterministic, generative outputs.
Define the visual cues and novel design patterns that communicate AI states. Craft the micro-interactions that build user trust - visually articulating how the browser behaves when it's thinking, reading a page, or taking an action.
Use core visual principles like typography, space, layout, and color to elevate the UX into a premium, magical experience that sets a new global standard.
Guide cross-functional peers through design sprints, rapid prototyping, and critiques tailored to GenAI.
Present your designs to stakeholders with strong rationale; collaborate with engineers to ensure implementations meet specs.
