Job summary

Mercor is seeking an experienced Expert Program Lead to manage large pools of domain experts for AI training data and model evaluation. You will translate research guidance into actionable tasks, monitor throughput, and drive quality improvements with cross-functional partners.

The role requires 3+ years of team leadership, strong written communication, and a 40-hour weekday availability. This is a full-time W-2 role placed at a leading AI lab.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Expert Program Manager or similar on AI training data projects.
• 3+ years leading large contributor teams against deadlines and quality bars.
• Career progression shown from contributor to lead roles.
• Available for 40 hours/week during weekdays.
• Strong written communication and ability to translate guidelines clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a large pool of domain experts day to day, onboarding and reviews.
• Guide research and product partners to turn inputs into clear guidelines and tasks.
• Track throughput and quality metrics in spreadsheets and report status to stakeholders.
• Evaluate expert submissions and identify root causes to raise quality across the team.
• Flag risks and blockers and drive fixes with cross-functional partners.
• Collaborate with researchers and product experts to ensure consistency in training data.
