Job summary

Mercor seeks an Experienced Expert Program Manager to lead its GenAI training data operations. You will manage a large pool of domain experts, translate research outputs into actionable guidelines, and ensure consistent, high-quality data for foundation models.

The role is full-time, posted through Cincinnatus LLC, with potential placement at a leading AI lab. Strong communication and 40-hour weekly commitment are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Expert Program Manager (EPM) or equivalent leading AI training data, human data or model evaluation projects.
• 3+ years of experience leading large contributor teams against deadlines and quality bars.
• Career progression from junior to senior roles in data operations is preferred.
• Ability to engage reliably for 40 hours/week during weekdays.
• Strong written communication and ability to translate guidelines clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a large pool of domain experts, onboarding, reviews, and meeting deadlines.
• Translate research and leadership inputs into clear guidelines and task instructions.
• Track deliverables and quality metrics in Sheets or Excel, reporting status to stakeholders.
• Evaluate expert submissions, identify root causes of quality issues, and provide actionable feedback.
• Flag risks and blockers early and drive resolutions with research, product, and operations partners.
• Collaborate with research and product partners to ensure training data consistency and accuracy.
