The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) team seeks a motivated and detail-oriented AI professional with a strong background in AI/ML concepts and technologies.

Your Mission

You will be part of a team developing Lockheed Martin AI talent and building an AI community. Within the LAIC, the Aimlabs team focuses on building a strong and vibrant AI/ML community including tools, knowledge sharing, events, and training.

The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and maintenance of strategic training initiatives that promote the adoption of Generative AI (GenAI) and AI talent growth across the enterprise. This includes collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI adoption, developing and delivering training programs for AI/ML developers, and creating knowledge sharing materials to support the growth of the AI/ML community.

As The Successful Candidate, You Will

  • Support the development and maintenance of strategic initiatives that advocate for the widespread enterprise adoption of GenAI
  • Assist in designing and implementing change management strategies, including communications campaigns, training, and events
  • Engage with the Lockheed Martin community on multiple communications platforms to encourage large-scale GenAI adoption and provide guidance on enterprise policies and best practices
  • Support the definition and monitoring of GenAI adoption metrics to adapt GenAI change management strategies
  • Collaborate with GenAI stakeholders to align projects and communications with enterprise strategic objectives
  • Support the development of training programs for up-and-coming AI/ML developers and identify tool and solution gaps to close the identified gaps
  • Assist in delivering live AI/ML, MLOps, and InfraOps courses to employees and creating training materials, such as blogs, tutorials, and how-to videos
  • Consult on internal projects leveraging MLOps and DataOps, and engage with Lockheed Martin's developer community on multiple communications platforms

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with AI/ML concepts and technologies, including Python and its data science stack (e.g., NumPy, Scikit, Pandas, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of cloud computing (Kubernetes, AWS, etc.)
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools, such as Docker and Git (GitLab, GitHub)

Desired Skills

  • Experience designing Data Science or AI training programs.
  • Experience producing AI/ML-related content, such as blog posts or tutorials
  • Strong understanding of the engineering process and AI/ML applications for RF signals, NLP, computer vision, and/or generative AI frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and communities

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $107,300 - $185,840. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $93,200 - $164,450. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
