Job summary

EY seeks a Software Engineering Director for AI Tooling to translate strategy into scalable, AI-enabled software products. You will lead the design of secure, reliable systems and partner with executives and product leaders to deliver measurable value for Fortune 500 clients.

You will drive cloud-native architectures, AI tooling, and developer platforms, while ensuring compliance and reliability across complex environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with ~18 months of experience.
• Strong proficiency in APIs, distributed systems, and cloud services.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI-enabled applications or tooling into production.
• Comfort working in fast-paced, client-facing environments with evolving requirements.
• You must reside in or be commutable to your office location.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and scale core software platforms integrating data, AI services, and user-facing apps.
• Develop AI-powered tools including decision support systems and internal copilots.
• Design robust service architectures (APIs, event-driven, batch/real-time pipelines).
• Establish engineering best practices: code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, performance.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to productionize models and agents.
