Job summary

Supabase is seeking a Software Engineer, AI Tooling Infrastructure to build and run backend services for our AI products. This is a systems and infrastructure role focused on reliability, authorization, and observability.

You will own authentication for AI and agent clients, participate in on-call rotations, and help scale deployments. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of production backend experience with TypeScript or Go and a deep understanding of APIs, auth, and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and running backend services in production.
• Experience with TypeScript or Go.
• Expertise in APIs and authentication/authorization.
• Experience with reliability, observability, and gateways.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate production backend services, including deployment, scaling, and release.
• Own authentication and authorization for AI and agent clients, and define reliability targets with SRE.
• Participate in on-call rotation and handle capacity and abuse for agent traffic.
