Job summary

Thomson Reuters seeks a hands-on AI automation specialist to transform tax and audit workflows into reliable AI solutions. You will merge tax/audit expertise with AI tools, validating accuracy and delivering usable automations for clients and internal teams.

Work closely with engineers, editors and product teams to ensure solutions meet professional standards while maintaining client trust and data integrity. This hybrid role offers strong development and impact potential.

Qualifications

• Five+ years hands-on experience in public accounting, corporate tax or audit with CPA/EA/CIA or equivalent depth.
• Experience applying AI to tax or audit work including prompt engineering and AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
• Experience delivering at least one automation or AI tool used by others and building evaluation datasets/test harnesses.
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL or Python.
• Strong professional judgment when assessing accuracy, managing risk and determining human review needs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with public accounting firms and corporate tax departments to understand workflows, identify automation opportunities and define outcomes.
• Design solutions with professional judgment and controls for accuracy, risk and standards.
• Build prompts, AI agent instructions, prototypes and automations using AI coding tools and Python/low-code platforms.
• Own AI evaluation and accuracy validation with expert-validated reference datasets and testing.
• Support client demonstrations and early engagement discussions showing AI value for tax/audit challenges.
• Develop reusable prompts and automations for return review, K-1 processing, tax provision and audit testing.
• Collaborate with Thomson Reuters domain experts to align with product capabilities and tax law.
