Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking an AI-focused software engineer to build AI systems used by engineers and operators across the company. You will work through the full software development life cycle, from concept to production, designing reliable AI-powered applications on foundation models and ensuring scalable capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field.
• 3–5 years of experience building, shipping, and iterating on applications and services.
• Hands-on experience building AI features with large language models, such as agents, retrieval-augmented generation, tool use, or evaluation, and shipping them to real users.
• Experience designing in collaboration with non-software stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered applications and agents on top of foundation models and ensure production reliability.
• Follow Agile practices and ship quality software with CI/CD.
• Collaborate with users and stakeholder teams to define requirements and iterate.
• Work across AI and Platform Engineering teams to design, deploy, and scale solutions.
