Job summary

CNA’s Tech Summer Internship Program invites students to a 10-12 week training program in Chicago, focusing on AI-driven innovation, governance, and workplace transformation. Interns will collaborate with cross-functional teams to pilot productivity tools, assess AI risks, and contribute to responsible innovation across the enterprise.

The program offers mentorship, exposure to senior leaders, and opportunities for potential full-time placement upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in Information Systems, CS, HCI, Business Technology or related field.
• Minimum 3.00 GPA (overall and major).
• Familiarity with productivity platforms and AI technologies.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, in writing and verbally.
• Strong teamwork and independent working skills.
• Leadership ability and adaptability.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Digital Workplace Enablement and AI Strategy teams to pilot emerging AI tools.
• Support the development and refinement of AI governance policies and guidelines.
• Conduct risk assessments for generative AI tools used in operations.
• Partner with business units to optimize AI prompts, data formats and workflows.
• Explore regulatory developments to inform CNA’s AI compliance strategy.
• Contribute to training materials and awareness campaigns on responsible AI use.
• Gain in-depth education in technology within the insurance industry, with mentorship from a dedicated manager.
• Meet with senior leadership to learn about technology roles in insurance.
