Job summary

AET Federal Inc. is seeking an AI Developer to design, develop, integrate, and deploy AI-powered solutions for government and enterprise customers.

You will serve as a technical bridge between AI capabilities and customer mission requirements, working directly with stakeholders to translate complex business and technical needs into secure, scalable AI solutions. The role combines hands-on software engineering with Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, APIs, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or related role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, or AI agent development.
• Experience with REST APIs, SQL databases, and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Understanding of AI application development, including RAG, embeddings, vector databases, or LLM frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to travel to customer sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand workflows, processes, and mission requirements for AI-driven automation.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and AI-enabled applications using LLMs, RAG, and agentic frameworks.
• Write production-quality code in Python/JavaScript/TypeScript for AI solutions and integrations.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise and government systems via REST APIs and cloud platforms.
• Lead technical implementation activities for AI pilots, prototypes, and production deployments.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve AI solutions for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, data, and program teams to meet customer requirements.
