Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking an AI Forward Deployed Engineer to translate client needs into AI-powered end-to-end solutions across cloud, data, and enterprise systems. You will design, build and deploy systems in real environments, iterating quickly and collaborating with product, research, and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes solving complex problems, strong communication with clients, and leading multi-practice engagements across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of hands-on data engineering or AI roles.
• Hands-on AI/ML experience, including LLMs and Generative AI.
• Experience with agent-based AI solutions (e.g., Bedrock or similar).
• Strong Python coding skills and cloud experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• SQL, ETL pipelines, and large-scale data processing.
• Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Security-aware development and enterprise AI considerations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI solutions: design and implement AI models, deliver demos and production-ready implementations.
• Evaluate model performance using relevant metrics and optimization.
• Apply cloud and data expertise across AWS, data and AI domains in multi-practice engagements.
• Articulate integrated advisory–engineering solutions spanning cloud, data and AI.
• Communicate results and actionable insights to drive business outcomes.
