Job summary

Talener in Hoboken, NJ is seeking an AI Software Engineer Manager (LLM / AI Platform) in a hybrid role (2-3 days onsite). You will lead a team of software engineers, shape the platform architecture, and deliver production-grade LLM-powered applications.

The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of software experience including leadership, deep Python backend skills, and a proven ability to drive technical strategy, SaaS scale, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in engineering management.
• Strong backend development experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM-powered applications in production.
• Experience with agentic AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.
• Strong experience with AWS, distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience building and scaling SaaS applications in either B2B or large-scale consumer environments.
• Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Ability to stay hands-on with architecture, system design, and development (~30% coding).
• Experience driving technical strategy, platform roadmap initiatives, and engineering best practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
