Job summary

CapCenter is seeking an AI Software Engineer in Richmond, VA to design, build and deploy AI-powered software for mortgage operations and customer experiences. You will work on cloud-native infra, AI models, and data-driven tools that enhance efficiency and engagement.

Qualifications include 3–5+ years in software engineering, hands-on ML/AI experience, and strong Azure/kubernetes skills. Collaboration across product, compliance, and operations is essential for scalable, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of software engineering experience building web or backend applications.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning or generative AI tools.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or C#.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and deploying production workloads.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding APIs, microservices, and modern software architecture.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy AI-powered tools for mortgage operations and customer experiences.
• Design and operate Azure-based cloud infrastructure with AKS, App Service, and AI services.
• Collaborate across operations, compliance, marketing, and product teams to build scalable AI solutions.
• Train, fine-tune, or customize AI models and implement monitoring and governance.
• Lead development standards, testing, docs, and responsible AI practices.
