CapCenter is seeking an AI Software Engineer in Glen Allen, VA to design, build, and deploy AI-powered tools that streamline mortgage operations and enhance customer experiences. You will work across cloud-native infrastructure, AI model integration, and enterprise-grade security to drive data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes developing AI-driven internal tools, customer-facing features, and scalable architectures on Azure, AKS, and modern deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent).
• 3–5+ years of software engineering experience building web or backend applications.
• Hands-on experience with machine learning or generative AI tools (OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace, LangChain, vector databases).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including deploying, securing, and operating production workloads.
• Solid experience with containers and Kubernetes (AKS), including deployments, services, ingress, config/secrets, autoscaling, and debugging workloads.

Responsabilités

• Architect, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications for internal operations.
• Build customer-facing and marketing-facing software such as intelligent chat assistants and loan tools.
• Integrate AI models into products using modern frameworks and APIs.
• Design, deploy, and operate applications on Microsoft Azure (AKS, App Service, Functions, SQL, Storage, Key Vault).
• Containerize applications with Docker and run on Kubernetes with Helm charts and manifests.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for containerized apps.
• Manage cloud resources with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Azure Monitor, App Insights) for production AI services.
• Apply cloud security best practices including Entra ID and secure secrets handling.
• Optimize cloud cost and performance for AI workloads.
