Western Union in Atlanta, GA seeks a Software Engineering Architect to lead AI-assisted software delivery across our money movement platforms. You’ll guide AI agents to build apps, workflows, and tools, while collaborating with product, operations, risk, and compliance teams.

You will design scalable, secure architectures for high‑volume financial transactions, review AI-generated code for quality and compliance, and drive modernization initiatives. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

Master's degree with 5+ years of software development experience; 2+ years in technical lead roles.
Hands‑on experience using AI coding agents to accelerate software delivery.
Strong criteria for secure, compliant, reliable and observable production systems.

Responsibilities

Build AI-assisted apps, workflows, and internal tools across product areas.
Translate needs into specs for end‑to‑end production solutions.
Use AI to accelerate modernization, testing, and observability.
Review AI outputs for security, privacy, and reliability in production.
Lead architecture reviews and design discussions across teams.
Develop integrations with risk, compliance orchestration, and external platforms.
